Short and sweet. It's close to the holidays, but I wanted to give you the results of how my promo ad with The Fussy Librarian turned out! Promo Date DetailsThe KDP discount promo began running on Nov 29th. Though I used The Fussy Librarian to spread the word on the first day of my promo, I also placed a small Facebook ad. The days following The Fussy Librarian ad, I utilized newsletter swaps with 6 other authors. Overall, during the KDP promo that lasted from Nov 29th – Dec 5th, I sold 41 books (Scythe of Darkness)! Which means I profited $28.41 ([$0.99 x .70 royalty] x 41 books). CostThe Fussy Librarian ad cost me $14. On that specific day of the TFL ad, I sold 9 books. Going by those numbers, I only profited $6.24, which means I lost $7.76. But this doesn’t take into account any sales that came from TFL ad during the following days. Why am I Happy?I’m very happy with The Fussy Librarian. Their price is reasonable for the results, so I’ll be using them again. However, this time I scheduled an ad regarding my free prequel. I’m interested to see how promoting a free book in the midst of non-free books in their newsletter will do. I need to start treating my free prequel as Book One in the series. What I mean by this is, I need to utilize its free status more in order to draw-in new readers. I’ll keep you posted on how the ad in January turns out! Don't miss out on tips and advice.
