 Today's haul from Hyperbole Bookstore! They were having their annual clearance sale, and I had to stop by. A stack of House of Night novels and a cart full of YA favorites--my TBR just got bigger. I thought these books would be upper YA, bc of the cover and premise. But it’s def lower YA. And there are many times where the protagonist talks and thinks like an adult with a lesson to teach the reader, rather than a 16-year-old. Not sure if I’ll finish reading the rest of books, but they will look pretty on my shelves. I might give book 2 a try and see if my opinion changes. Leave a Reply. |
